It is required that all dual enrollment courses for which Embry-Riddle awards credit have the following:

  • Course Number, Prefix, and Name
    • The Embry-Riddle Course Number and Prefix along with the name must appear on all syllabi. The School/District specific course number, prefix, and name may appear above or below the Embry-Riddle information but shall not supersede it.
  • Course Description
    • The Embry-Riddle description of the course must appear in its entirety. School/District specific course description details may be included.
  • Learning Outcomes
    • The Embry-Riddle Learning Outcomes must be clearly identifiable. School/District specific learning outcomes may be included but shall not supersede those required by ERAU.
  • Course Goals
    • The Embry-Riddle Course Goals must be clearly identifiable. School/District specific course goals may be included but shall not supersede those required by ERAU.
  • Course Policies
    • The Embry-Riddle standard course policies must be clearly identifiable. School/District specific policies may be included. If there are any conflicts between Embry-Riddle course policies and those required by the school/district, the higher standard should be enforced.
  • Grading Policy & Grading Scale
    • The syllabus must clearly state the grading policy and scale. If the course is not designed to use a 100-point grading scale, justification should be sent to the appropriate college at the time the syllabi is sent for approval
  • Course Schedule
    • The objectives and assignments should be defined by week for the course within the syllabi. The learning objectives for which each topic/assignment/lab satisfies should also be identified
